Bashline Secures Significant Funding for Redbank Valley Municipal Authority

HARRISBURG – Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) announced he secured more than $7.3 million in grant and loan funding from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to assist the Redbank Valley Municipal Authority in Clarion County with a water quality project. Out of this allocation, $5.385 million is deemed a grant.

The project will include installing nearly 9,880 feet of six-inch waterline, 2,700 feet of eight-inch waterline and 1,800 feet of 10-inch waterline. Several fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenancesare incorporated. As for the water treatment plant, new inclined plane settlers will be installed to restore aging tube settlers while filter media will also be replaced.

“These projects play a significant role in improving the quality of life in the places we call home,” said Bashline. “I am grateful for the swift work by the leadership at Redbank Valley Municipal Authority to bring this to my attention, where I then successfully advocated for this significant award. I am proud of the efforts that led to this result.”

Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
