Bashline to Host Two Shredding Events in October

September 25, 2025

HARRISBURG – To assist residents with protecting their identity, Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) will be hosting two free shredding events in October to encourage residents to act prudently when handling sensitive information.

“Protecting your identity isn’t just about safeguarding paperwork,” said Bashline. “It’s about defending your future, your finances and your peace of mind. I’m happy to host these events so the people I’m honored to serve can take necessary steps to keep their sensitive information private.”

The first event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9-11 a.m., in the parking lot of the Clarion District Office. The address is 160 S. Second Ave., Clarion. Iron Mountain will shred on-site.

Bashline will be partnering with Rep. Abby Major (R-60) and Sen. Joe Pittman (R-41) for the second event on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Kittanning Township Volunteer Fire Department. The site is located at 13126 State Route 422, Kittanning. Progressive Workshop will shred the items off-site.

This event is for residents only. Documents that should be shredded include those with credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, medical information and bank account information. Residents are asked to bring just papers and documents in loose form. No magazines, books or trash. Individuals may shred up to three boxes.

For more information, contact Bashline’s Clarion district office at 814-226-9000 or Kittanning district office at 724-954-3613.
